Job Overview:
ROKADE Group is looking for an Application & Technical Sales Engineer for its Centrifugal Blowers & Industrial Fans Division. The role combines technical application engineering with business development, converting customer requirements into technically suitable blower/fan solutions and supporting the sales process from enquiry to order.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Requirement & Application Study
Fault identification and severity level
Understand customer requirements for centrifugal blowers, exhausters and industrial fans.
Collect and evaluate air/gas flow, static/total pressure, temperature, gas composition, density, RPM, motor rating, operating conditions, installation arrangement and duty/standby requirements.
Study existing blower/fan samples, drawings and nameplate details.
Visit customer sites for application assessment and measurements.
2. Blower/Fan Selection
Select suitable blower/fan based on required flow and pressure.
Evaluate impeller, casing, shaft, bearing, motor and drive arrangement.
Understand and interpret blower/fan performance curves.
Recommend suitable materials based on temperature, corrosion and application conditions.
Coordinate with the Design Engineer for customized requirements.
3. Technical Sales
Generate and develop enquiries from industrial customers.
Prepare techno-commercial proposals.
Explain technical specifications and advantages to customers.
Conduct product presentations and technical discussions.
Follow up on quotations and convert enquiries into orders.
Develop relationships with OEMs, consultants, EPC companies and end users.
4. Technical Proposal & Documentation
Prepare technical datasheets, GA drawings and technical offers.
Prepare comparison statements against competitor products where required.
Coordinate with design and production teams for delivery commitments.
Ensure proposed equipment complies with customer specifications.
5. Business Development
Develop new customers across India.
Identify applications in cement, steel, power, chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, textile, HVAC and process industries.
Develop opportunities for replacement of existing blowers/fans.
Promote ROKADE capability to manufacture new blowers and develop replacement units from existing samples.
Qualification
B.E./B.Tech./Diploma – Mechanical Engineering
Experience
2-6 years preferred in industrial blowers/fans, pumps, compressors, HVAC equipment, rotating equipment, industrial machinery or technical sales/application engineering.
Skills
Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals.
Understanding of centrifugal equipment and flow/pressure/power relationships.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Good Excel/Word skills.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel across India.
